Bust Candidates in 2022

Do you have a bust list? These are the players I have in my fade list based on their ADP and PPR projections on Sleeper.

Updated in 2022/07/06.

Running Back Bust Candidates

Travis Etienne – the Jaguars spent a lot of money in the Free Agency to surround Trevor Lawrence with weapons to help the passing game: Christian Kirk, Evan Engram, and Zay Jones are some of them. Also, they have a tough schedule that includes the entire AFC West (Chiefs, Chargers, Broncos, Raiders).

Ezekiel Elliottcould this be the year in which Tony Pollard steps up and scores more than Zeke?

Wide Receiver Bust Candidates

Tyreek Hill – from Mahomes to Tua. I don’t like this move for Tyreek, unless Tua, much like Josh Allen, has a 3rd-year breakout in Miami, with a new coaching staff and strong opponents.

Allen Robinson – we have at least two points of view to analyze Robinson’s 2021 season: the bad one, in which he started his twilight sooner than expected, and the good one, in which he played for the Bears with a rookie quarterback. I hope Matthew Stafford helps him restore his best football.

Michael Thomas – which MT are we gonna see this season: The 2019 stud or the injury-prone, aging wideout?

Tight End Bust Candidates

Cameron Brate – if Gronk indeed retired, I’d rather have rookie Cade Otton than Brate, who was never a primary target in Tampa.

Pat Freiermuth – Pat had a great rookie season with Ben Roethlisberger, but now he is catching passes from either Mitch Trubisky or rookie Kenny Pickett, which makes his life harder on the field.
